Education Development for the Underprivileged Children of Nepal (EDUC-NEPAL) is a small grass root non-government organization founded in the beginning of 2002 by dedicated volunteers. It is government registered and non-profit organization with a view to develop proper education and welfare of the socially and economically backward children. The office is located in Nilsaraswati Marg, Lazimpat, Kathmandu . We believe that "A healthy, educated, well-trained citizenry is development." EDUC-NEPAL is a unique non-government organization where the children are taught moral and spiritual education.

Without education Nepal will never see economic growth. Since the vast majority of the children in our country are from poor economic background the members of EDUC-NEPAL decided to improve the education of the underprivileged. The future of tomorrow are naturally children and thus we the members of EDUC-NEPAL, are determined to render every possible means to improve the literacy rate of socially and economically backward children and to provide scholarships to bright students, and also provide them with educational materials, encouraging them in every step of their endeavors so that in the future, we will have better citizens to govern our country, in fact better bureaucrats. Only having educated people can strengthen democracy.
