Nepalese culture is one of the friendliest and very open in the world, and the guests are given warm welcome as though they are part of the family members. Participants will be placed with a Nepalese family in Kathmandu Valley and if they want to stay in rural areas or any area of Nepal that can be arranged but you have to inform us about two months ahead of time.
The best month for home stay is from the month of August to December where loads of local festivals take place that makes the volunteers stay more excitable and memorable. Other month from January to May is also very good for excellent whether condition.
Program: - minimum of 1 month… and anyone from any age group are welcome.
Volunteers must be willing to work for economically and socially challenged children and be able to teach English language, Math, Science or any extra curriculum activities like arts and crafts, basic computer training or any new activities will be most welcome. Volunteers will be assigned to a school (either private or government) where the work starts from 9:30am to 1:00 pm on weekdays (Monday to Friday) and off on weekend. Nepalese language can be arranged if the volunteers are interested.
You will be staying with a Nepalese Family and share whatever they offer you. Simple food like dal/bhat curry will be served twice a day with tea in the morning. The cost will cover accommodation and food. For further inquiries please contact us in our e-mail address.

Volunteering is a most satisfying job, a noble work in a country like Nepal where it is most challenging and gratifying. One never gets tired of looking at those gigantic Himalayas and the natural landscapes surrounding them and yet Nepal is a poverty stricken with more than 40% of the people leaving below the poverty line. Illiteracy is still very low. It is due to this that Nepal is one of the poorest countries in the world.

Nepali Cultural orientation and a guided tour of Kathmandu Valley will be organized to visit important touristic, cultural and sites of Kathmandu Valley.

The cost of the homestay program will be $100 and the additional $50 per person per month is charged for Administrative expences.

Contribution to EDUC-NEPAL eg. Optional Recreational Activities:
When volunteer want to relax and spice up their stay a range of short exciting activities is available.
- White water rafting
Whole afternoon of exciting white water rafting on the Trishuli river can be organized. Experienced guide will take you along the beautiful river side with interesting villages enroute.
- Jungle Safari
A visit to the Jungle Safari National Park is a must with exciting canoeing, cultural dance of the Tharu tribe and of course the elephant ride.
- Trekking in the mountain villages
A week long trekking will organized depending on your choice like to the Annapurna circuit which is one of the most popular trekking spot. Accomodation will be provided on route in inns and lodges.
