Since the establishment of EDUC-NEPAL the first program of health education was given on the 30 th of March 2002 to parents/guardian and children of Deep Shishu Niketan School . |

On the 19 th of June 2002 , dental check-up was done on the children by dental professionals and students and was given advise on how to take care of their teeth. |

On the 13th of May 2003 , EDUC-NEPAL has introduced a unique programme 'After School Programme' (ASP), at one of the government lower secondary school Shree Bal Bikash Primary School in down town. This is the first of its kind in Nepal to start 'ASP' which is after school hours and is designed to provide a safe, healthy and constructive environment for students and recreate in. It will not only encourage students to do further study, but also protect them from home abuse and violence and negative behavior. ‘ASP' is also currently being run in another private non-profit school at Deep Sishu Niketan School . |

Non Formal Education (O.S.P. Out of School Programme) is being started recently in Samakhusi for the children 8 to 14 yrs for non-going school children of oppressed community and economically challenged children. The mothers of these children are also being taught literacy and skilled programme. |

Adult literacy for women is also launched at Bishalnagar at Deep Shishu Niketan School . |

Children Welfare Center in Nilswaraswati Marg , Lazimpat is currently being opened for the benefit of the children where they are able to learn computers, arts and crafts, play games, have non-formal education (O.S.P.) as well as spiritual development. Even parents are taught non-formal education and are given skilled training programme. |
